This series consists of letters received and copies of letters sent relating to emergency conservation work performed at the Pierre Indian School and surrounding area. The correspondence is chiefly that of the Production Coordinating Officer for Indian Emergency Conservation Work (IECW) and Civilian Conservation Corps - Indian Division (CCC-ID) Districts 3 and 4. Subject content of the correspondence relates to annual work programs and accomplishments of the Pierre Indian School, IECW, and CCC-ID and includes instructions, notices, orders, evaluations of program activities, and reports and recommendations covering the broad area of conservation activities and education, training, and employment of Indians. This series contains a number of photographic reports showing progress of work programs and enrollee social activities.
